How to collapse/expand a bundle in Salesforce CPQ QLE?

In the Spring 20 release, Salesforce introduced an option to drive the bundle presentation behaviour in the Quote Line Editor (QLE). Before that, a bundle of products was always expanded. That possibly does not fit quite a few businesses. Now, Salesforce Admins can drive the behaviour.

In order to change the default behaviour and present collapsed bundles of products in the QLE, go to the Salesforce Setup

Setup -> Installed Packages -> Configure Salesforce CPQ -> Line Editor -> Enable Expand/Collapse Bundles
By default, the Default Bundle Setting is disabled.

In order to enable the Default Bundle Setting, you need to:

  • check Enable Large Quote Experience
  • check Enable/Expand/Collapse Bundles
  • check Visualise Product Hierarchy

with those 3 checkboxes checked, you will be able to edit the Default Bundle Setting:

Default Bundle Setting enabled, you can edit the preferred value now.

You can find out more about this feature in these release notes: https://releasenotes.docs.salesforce.com/en-us/spring20/release-notes/rn_sales_cpq_expand_collapse_bundles.htm
